1. Hi Guest - This forum site will be shut down 12/31/2024. We are getting so few actual users coming through, that it is no longer sustainable. It costs significantly more just to keep it online, vs. any minimal ad revenue - and 95% of new users and/or posts are spam. Please download any pics, DIY threads, or anything else that you'd like to archive. (discussed here)

Greetings from P-cola

Just wanted to say hello and say I just made the down payment on a new CRF250L for me and a CRF50 for my daughter and we'll be taking them home in a little while. I've always been a Honda guy since my first bike back in 1983, an XR200. My off-road racing experience includes a 200X three wheel, then back to dirt bikes with a 1991 XR250R and a 1994 XR600R. I also had a 1993 XR650L that I had a lot of fun with.. If you're not racing, there's nothing like riding your bike from the house to the trail and back again.

Fast forward a bunch of years and I found myself looking at another XR650L. While I loved that bike back 20 years ago, and probably still would, I decided to go with the smaller dual sport 250 so I can begin sharing the off-road experience with my 6 year old daughter.

Maybe in a few years when she's got some riding experience under her belt, we'll be racing together, and I'll get back on my big bore thumper, but until then I'll be very happy following her dust trail on the 250.
