The 2016 Kawasaki ZX-14R still has that fabulous 200bhp 1.4-litre inline-four, and has enough electronics to keep you safe, but not so complicated that you can't figure out half of it. We love this bike so much!!!

Who doesn’t like 200bhp and a 320kph top speed? We certainly do. Over the years, we’ve been huge fans of the original ZX-10, ZX-11, ZX-12 and, of course, the ZX-14R. And right on cue, Kawasaki have, for 2016, provided a nice dose of updates for the ZX-14R Ninja (also referred to as the ZZR1400 in many markets), including Brembo brakes with monobloc 4-piston calipers, stainless steel brake lines, a new LCD instrument panel and a new paint finish. And while that might not seem all that much, there are some (us…) for whom a 200-horsepower 1441cc inline-four, a comfortable sport-touring riding position and the potential to hit 320kph (it’s not that we would, but that we could…) is all that they want in a motorcycle. The presence of bits like a slipper clutch, two power modes, ABS, and 3-level traction control just makes the deal that much sweeter. The 14R has just the right amount of technology – enough to keep you safe if you’re sensible, but not so complicated that you need a masters degree in computer science to manage all the settings.

The new matt carbon gray paint, available only on the 2016 ZX-14R SE version, sounds just right to us. We want one. We really, really, really want one... :)
