    Dakar CRF250L Evo-1 305cc Big bore

as promised, here is the build thread of this epic bike

    some bike info/specs:
    -35,000km on bike
    -25,000km on 305cc BB
-my average consumption on road is 82mpg 2.9L/100km
-my average consumption off road is 64mpg 3.7L/100km
-ive got 2 set of rims, 1 set has road tires with 38T rear sprocket.
-other set has off road tires with 44T rear sprocket, (at my cabin in BC).
    -top speed of 145Km/hr (90mph)
    -0-60mph in 6.6 secs
-even tho compression has increased to 11.3-11.5 to 1, im still running pump gas 87 octane, runs fine, no knock.
-bike weighs 334.6lb fully fueled and ready to ride.

total mods YTD, all work was done by me in my garage, my CNC was used but was not needed to complete, no motorbike shop involvement at all, (except for dyno run):

    engine:
    -BigBore-305cc (crf250l/cbr250r Takegwa cyclinder )
-bazzaz fuel tuner, dual modes (eco and power) selectable via switch on handle bar.
    -dual exhaust from a crf250r
-dual exhaust has been internally re-worked for more torque, and more quiet, less top end tho.
-air box mod holes and foam.
    -polished ports
-base gasket reduction for more compression
    -head porting.
    -full synthetic of course
    -engine weep hole by-pass+tube

    lighting:
-custom build headlight internals, used Bi-x FXR3.0 with osram CBI @50w and a XB-LED foglight , both from TRS.
-90mmand 80mm halo led rings from TS as DRL
-3 custom LED mini light bars (i build them, i sell them: http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?61439-MK-s-Mini-Light-Bar-Official-Sales-Thread)
-X-pods used as wide angle AUX highbeam, again from TRS
-when DRL is on, the rear light is off, and when back light is on, DRL turns off.
    -LED turn signals, front/rear.
    -LED brake light
    -LED Plate light
    -2x custom fuse/relay boxes
-stator re-worked for same wattage, but to be produced at 4000rpm, not 5500rpm as per stock

    body/frame:
    -Evo-1 Kit from rally raid(http://www.rally-raidproducts.co.uk...y-fairing-kit/ktm-690-rally-fairing-kit-white)
-custom brackets fabricated by me for the EVO-1 kit to fit a crf250l
    -KTM990 windscreen
    -handle bar warmers (50W)
-seat has been given 6" more width (3" on each side) but only where my ass is, so i can still put my leg down.
-car seat foam, hot glue and memory foam was used for seat. seat is 1.5" thicker/taller now.
-AUX gas tank (1.4L) in the front under the headlight permanently attached via hoses to the primary gas tank, 9L total gas capacity now, or 60km more range.
-Lithium-Ion feather weight battery. (4.3lb lighter then stock)
-6x super capacitor bank, 90F each
-custom dash with rad temp, engine temp, air temp, gear indicator, voltage, 12V dc plug, and 5 switches (on the left, DRL,lowbeam, foglight) (on the right handle bar warmers, instrument cluster)
    - custom made fairings to cover both top and bottom of the new EVO-1 kit.
    -foldable MSR gear shifter
    -custom foldable brake pedal
    -storm hand gaurds
    -MSR bark busters
    -pro taper handle bar
    -handle bar riser (3")
    -steering stabilizer
-2" round mirrors, mounted kind if flush with and guards.
    -skid plate

    suspension/wheels:
    -14t/38T road tires/rims (Kenda K65) 130/90-18------90/100-21.
    -14t/44T off road tires/rims (Task master-II) 120/100-18------80/100-21.
-both front and rear suspension have been re-worked for 12" of travel (3" more then stock)
-bike is raised by 3" due to suspension mods
    -neoprene fork stanchions protectors
    -heavier suspension oil
    -rear stand/ swing arm sliders.

total cost of project including cost of motorbike+parts+ oils+tires+dyno runs)= $9440Cad
    total build time: roughly 120hrs

    whats next?
i think my bike is basically 100% done for now.

i think this summer im going to:
    -get an acerbis 3.1gallon
-swap the engine for a CBR500R/CB500X since its almost a direct fit, and they share the same fuel pump.
    -get stiffer suspension, front /rear.
    -bigger rad
-gearing change due to new 471cc engine
-new muffler to suit new engine

Looks awesome! The light output is fantastic. Time for upgrades of my own in that department.

@michael.kozera - seriously bro...you better start looking for "bugs" in your garage or something cause they copied your bike to a T!!! Can I get a 1% cut when you SUE for bringing this travesty to your attention hehehehehe!
